The AT&T Labs Information Visualization Research Group seeks strong candidates for regular positions and summer internships.

Some current projects include a method for measuring and visualizing proximity in online social networks; a data analysis method that won the Netflix Competition progress prize; collaboration on a scalable focus+context approach to displaying and exploring large sets of time series (LiveRAC); scalable methods for drawing and browsing networks with hundreds of thousands of elements; geometric layout of rectilinear contact graphs; and work with the University of Konstanz on hierarchical network maps. Our work spans the almost purely theoretical (e.g. novel viewpoint synthesis and surface reconstruction from multiple cameras) to the very applied (e.g. a close collaboration with Internet Data Center hosting services).
