Scope

Severability

If any part of this license is found to be unenforceable in any jurisdiction, the remaining portions of the license remain in force.

No Warranty

InfoVis:Wiki is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose or a warranty of non- infringement.

Limitation of Editoral Responsibility

We do not pre-screen any works or material submitted by third parties in publicly editable pages. The site reserves the right (but not the obligation) in its sole discretion to refuse or remove any works or material that are available on publicly editable pages. The site and InfoVis:Wiki team absolve themselves of all editorial responsibility over the material on the site.

Rationale

This policy intends to signify: Each author owns what they say, but authors and visitors will make edits in the wiki fashion. Totally altering someone's statement around would not be allowed, because that allows for stuffing words and realities into people's mouths. InfoVis:Wiki maintains control over this site's structure to prevent wholesale mirroring of its content. Note, while anonymous contributions on publicly editable pages have no known authors, they are still protected by the law. However, it would be difficult to prove authorship of anything anyway as there is a thing called universal editing. We'd like to be able to redistribute information, woven here communally, from whatever contexts authors exist in. Not to mention taking back ups of the database. Hence timestamped snapshots.

Reproducibility

Any party may reproduce and modify this copyright policy for his or her own purposes provided they disavow any legal responsibility from either site or players and that they remove any reference inside the policy to either SystemsThinking.net or its authors. This exclusion does not include acknowledgments that are not part of the policy. If you copy this license, you understand that no accredited legal representative has approved this license. We are not lawyers. You accept full responsibility if you use this license. You agree not to hold InfoVis:Wiki or its authors responsible.
