The Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) at Sabancı University invites applications for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor position in the areas of Cloud Computing, IoT, Cyber-Physical Systems, Visualization, Computer Graphics, Human Computer Interaction, Software Engineering. Applicants with strong academic credentials will be considered, but we will in particular seek scholars having hands-on experience on modern tools and techniques in these fields. The successful candidate is expected to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses, to supervise graduate student theses, conduct funded research, and publish in prestigious journals and conferences. Responsibilities also include service to the department, faculty, and university in general, in the form of student mentoring, committee work etc.
As a small university, we are especially interested in candidates whose research complements the existing research areas and who can help lead, initiate, and participate in collaborative research projects within the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at Sabanci University. Potential or demonstrated excellence in research is expected, as measured in the form of publications in high quality journals and conferences.
The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical/Electronics Engineering, with a strong research and publication record. Candidates who can bring new research perspectives to FENS, and also demonstrate the potential to collaborate with existing FENS faculty members will be preferred. Sabanci University, a privately funded premier academic institution, started instruction in the 1999-2000 academic year in its new state-of-the-art campus located in suburban Istanbul. The University offers 12 undergraduate programs and 23 graduate programs in three faculties (Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, School of Management).
