Michelle Chen is currently an Assistant Professor at the School of Information, San Jose State University. Her primary areas of research and teaching interests include big data visualization and online social network analysis. In particular, she is interested in studying the value of virtual platforms as informational and social media and the role of today's networked environment on shaping user behavior.
