If it was still public with no comments, but you cross-posted entries in a private forum, you could allow people to respond and discuss in a controlled/private environment, but still keep the blog itself public. I'm not sure how much extra work that would be for you, but if it was negligible I would say that's the best option for running your site the way you have and seem to love, but keeping the riffraff at bay., http://calvertudih.livejournal.com/875.html http://calvertudih.livejournal.com/875.html, susiws, http://capelloakym.livejournal.com/807.html http://capelloakym.livejournal.com/807.html, aec, http://bickartvox.livejournal.com/624.html http://bickartvox.livejournal.com/624.html, 6836, http://holcmanden.livejournal.com/673.html http://holcmanden.livejournal.com/673.html, 959398, http://maddenuruv.livejournal.com/786.html http://maddenuruv.livejournal.com/786.html, 1246, http://odotufur.livejournal.com/793.html http://odotufur.livejournal.com/793.html, 4455, http://karyletomy.livejournal.com/950.html http://karyletomy.livejournal.com/950.html, 8DD, http://josessesuc.livejournal.com/1189.html http://josessesuc.livejournal.com/1189.html, 8O, http://pierropivov.livejournal.com/1145.html http://pierropivov.livejournal.com/1145.html, smh, http://calvertudih.livejournal.com/1205.html http://calvertudih.livejournal.com/1205.html, 86882, http://bonninef.livejournal.com/1211.html http://bonninef.livejournal.com/1211.html, 1775, http://mellaevyw.livejournal.com/1580.html http://mellaevyw.livejournal.com/1580.html, %OO, http://arbeybir.livejournal.com/1032.html http://arbeybir.livejournal.com/1032.html, 4557,
