Afterwards, as a research assistent at the Visualization and Interactive Systems Institute, he changed his main exploratory field to semantic representation, visualizing and partial encryption of patent-metadata in the semantic web. In 2009 Mark Giereth quit his academic career. Currently he is employed at Bosch.
