A new visualisation package has been released for the Weka data mining toolkit. The plugin implements Targeted Projection Pursuit which allows users to explore very high dimensional data sets in a transparent and intuitive way.
There is a brief introduction to TPP here: http://code.google.com/p/targeted-projection-pursuit/wiki/Introduction. This includes links to a powerpoint explanation of the principles behind it, and a short video demo.
The package itself can be installed using the Weka package manager.
