After several months of planning and article preparation for its launch, WikIT, a wiki about information mapping, finally opened late last month.
WikIT's scope[edit]
WikIT covers many information map types: mind maps, concept maps, spidergrams, bubble diagrams, tree diagrams, argument maps, cognitive maps, influence diagrams, hyperbolic trees, clustering and more.
Aims[edit]
It aims to provide a resource for users of information maps of all types, whether hand-drawn or computer-based, showing how these map types may be used and how they are made, in depth.
Style[edit]
WikIT is map-style neutral, focusing on being informative and practical. All entries that contribute in a clear and factual way and follow the policies of WikIT are welcome.
