Short Bio
Andreas Holzinger is head of the Research Unit Human-Computer Interaction, Institute of Medical Informatics, Statistics and Documentation, Medical University Graz and Associate Professor of Applied Informatics at the Institute of Information Systems and Computer Media, Faculty of Informatics, Graz University of Technology and chair of the Workgroup HumanComputer Interaction and Usability Engineering (HCI&UE) of the Austrian Computer Society (OCG). He is Austrian Representative in the International Federation of Information Processing (IFIP), Technical Committee TC 13 Human-Computer Interaction. His research is in Computer and Information Science, with emphasis on Medical Knowledge Management, Multimedia Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction, Knowledge Discovery & Information Retrieval, Usability Engineering. He was Visiting Professor in Berlin, Innsbruck, London and Vienna.
