Project EXPAND

The Center for Cognition, Information and Management at the Danube University Krems is seeking a software developer for interactive data visualization for a project participation in the patent data analysis domain (project name EXPAND).

Required qualifications/skills

  • experience in programming, preferably Javascript, HTML5, Java, and 3D Libraries (WebGL)
  • knowledge or interest in one or more of the following: Information Visualization, Dynamic Social Network Analysis, Visual Analytics, Graph Theory, Interaction Design.
  • abilities to work as a flexible developer in an interdisciplinary team
  • fluency in the English language both orally and in written form

Desired qualifications for international applicants

  • willingness to participate in meetings, located in Vienna, Austria
  • basic proficiency in German or willingness to learn

Terms and Dates

  • Volume of deployment up to 600 hours between October 2012 and September 2015, based on a contract for services.
  • Application deadline: October 1, 2012

  • abilities to work as a flexible developer in an interdisciplinary team
  • fluency in the English language both orally and in written form

Desired qualifications for international applicants

  • willingness to participate in meetings, located in Vienna, Austria
  • basic proficiency in German or willingness to learn

  • Volume of deployment up to 1000 hours between October 2012 and December 2014, based on a contract for services.
