Dr. T. Alan Keahey is the Founder and President of [http://www.visualytics.com/ Visualytics]  (formerly known as Visintuit), a fast-moving, innovative company specializing in visualization of complex information spaces for government and commercial interests.  Before founding Visualytics,  he was the Director of Research at Visual Insights, a Lucent Bell Labs venture company specializing in applications of visualization to analyze and understand web traffic behavior.  Prior to that, Alan was a Visualization Research Scientist with the Advanced Computing Lab at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where he conducted research on many nationally significant applications of information and scientific visualization. Dr. Keahey is an internationally recognized expert in the field of information visualization, has served on numerous scholarly committees, and has published dozens of articles on the subject of information visualization and visual analysis.
Alan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indiana University , Bloomington , an M.S. in Computer Science from Indiana University, and a B.C.Sc. (Honors) from the University of Manitoba. In his "spare" time he enjoys biking, high-performance driving and downhill skiing in the Canadian Rockies.
