I am always interested in basic perceptual rules and limits but so far there seems to be not mut knowledge in this respect in the InfoVis community. Basic perceptual rules and limits
I am always interested in basic perceptual rules and limits but so far there seems to be not mut knowledge in this respect in the InfoVis community. Colin Ware's book is a good starting point but I'm eager for much more... Paley, Bradford W. gave a few literature references in recent talks I attended at IV05 and Mensch & Computer 2005/Ars Electronica to books from perceptual and cognitive sciences - I think there is a lot to learn from these communities that is highly relevant for InfoVis.
Maybe someone can give a few pointers to relevant literature of this kind?
