From a Philosophy degree, worked on operating systems (Tops-20, VMS), helped define early networks (prototyped the first ISO routing spec), helped define CORBA, and worked up the ISO stack to EAI architectures, then intelligent agents who dream in ontologies. I believe that visualization/animation -- of both being and process -- is the missing but emergent aspect of software and the IoT.
