Kommentar zum Konzept:

  • Der Entwurf und Designvorschlag sind schon recht detailiert - super!
  • Was bedeutet das Attribut "homeCluster"?
  • Ihr beschreibt 2 Benutzergruppen mit veschiedenen Anforderungen - es wäre vielleicht besser sich auf einen Typ zu konzentrieren.
  • Referenzen bzw. Weblinks fehlen bei "Known Solutions"
  • Viele Fehler im Text
  • Das Mantra lautet: Overview First - Zoom and Filter (nicht Zoom and Focus)

Corrections and Comments

  • Gone through writing, corrected mantra- Stefan Schnabl, 25.11.2005
  • The attribute "homeClusters" is alwas NULL in the table "album", hence it has no active meaning for us. - Stefan Schnabl, 25.11.2005
  • Both groups can gain knowledge out of the visualisation applied. E.g. owners see where is a lot of traffic, developers as well. This information is usefull for both. They can as well see the relative amout of profiled users vs. unprofiled ones. This can lead to interesting hypothesis for developers as well as for owners. (e.g. owners might think that the profiled users are more active, and by that send them mor special hints and newsletters, on the other hand, if for instance the amount of unprofiled users is very low it can indicate the need for a more useful entry mask for getting a profiled user). - Stefan Schnabl, 25.11.2005
  • With all due respect but I dont understand what is unclear about the TreeNet technique. I ask for specific question you want us to answer additionally. - Stefan Schnabl, 25.11.2005
--> A graphic would help a lot (Most importantly, I would like to see a clarification of the differences between TreeNet and Bubble Chart) -- Wolfgang Aigner 12:56, 26 November 2005 (CET)
  • Graphics for BubbleChart and TreeNet added. I hope this makes the technique clearer. - Stefan Schnabl, 26.11.2005
  • The differences between Bubble Chart and Tree Net are marginal. Disjunct groups can better be seperated via the BubbleChart since they are represented through the belts. E.g. one can leave space between them. - Stefan Schnabl, 26.11.2005
  • The idea of the TreeNet evolved out of the BubbleChart. The underlying computation is quite similar so we decided to not drop one out of the concept. - Stefan Schnabl, 26.11.2005
  • Wether TreeNet nor BubbleChart apply to the data (very well). We decided to drop both conceps and go over to a stacked barplot. - Stefan Schnabl, 13.12.2005
  • Parallel Coordinated does not apply to the data structure as well, the main issue is the aggregation of the data (e.g. we can only draw data from intervals of time). - Stefan Schnabl, 13.12.2005
