Temporal data refers to a series of data originating in one concept (stochastic variable) yet varying over time and ordered accordingly.

Definitions

Temporal data is data that varies over time.
[Jensen and Snodgrass, 1999]

Remarks

Applying exploratory (esp. timelines) as well as confirmatory methods, temporal data can be used to analyze the influence of time on a certain variable.
