ICETE is organized by INSTICC - Institute for Systems and Technologies of Information, Control and Communication

ICETE 2008 is a joint conference aimed to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested on information and communication technologies, including e-business, wireless networks and information systems, security and cryptography, signal processing and multimedia applications. These are the main knowledge areas that define the four component conferences, wich together form the ICETE joint conference, namely:

- ICE-B (International Conference on e-Business);
- WINSYS (International Conference on Wireless Information Networks and Systems);
- SECRYPT (International Conference on Security and Cryptography);
- SIGMAP (International Conference on Signal Processing and Multimedia Applications).
