Katy Börner is an Associate Professor of Information Science at the School of Library and Information Science, Adjunct Associate Professor of Informatics, Core Faculty of Cognitive Science, and Research Affiliate of the Biocomplexity Institute at Indiana University, Bloomington.

  • IVC Software Framework: The Information Visualization CyberInfrastructure (IVC) software framework extends the original Information Visualization Repository (Börner & Zhou, 2001). It provides an unified architecture in which diverse data analysis, modeling and visualization algorithms can be pluged in and run.

One of her latest works is Places and Spaces, a science exhibit created to demonstrate the power of maps for the navigation of physical places and semantic spaces.
