Junior Researcher/PhD Candidate (m/f)[edit]

Your responsibilities[edit]

  • Working with diverse R&D projects of the IC\M/T – mainly in the section of Digital T echnologies
  •  Joining in the conception and design of new methods for the usage of digital technologies in the field of industrial production and health
  •  Prototypical implementation, testing and evaluation of methods developed (hardware and software)
  •  Investigation, evaluation and utilisation of the latest research findings
  •  Writing scientific publications and reports
  •  Presentation of research findings at specialist conferences
  •  Networking with the scientific community
  •  To a minor extent, assisting in teaching and the supervision of scientific papers and academic projects
  •  Collaboration in the drafting of new research proposals
  •  To a minor extent, assisting with the administrative and organisational tasks of the department

Your qualifications[edit]

  •  Successfully completed studies of mechatronics, automation, electronics, informatics or a comparable university degree entitling the holder to commence PhD studies
  •  Some professional experience or practical experience is an advantage
  •  Distinct analytical skills and excellent knowledge of programming (preferably hardware-related, embedded)
  •  Knowledge or at least interest in one of the following topics is required: Processes and Workflows, Human-Computer Interaction, Embedded Systems
  •  Knowledge or at least interest in one or more of the following applications is a plus: Industry 4.0, Digital Healthcare
  •  Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
  •  (International applicants:) Sound knowledge of the German language and willingness to improve
  •  Ability to work as an autonomous and flexible researcher in an interdisciplinary team

The minimum gross salary for this position is €2,450.- /month (on the basis of 40h/week). Overpayment based on the internal salary structure and individual qualifications and experience is possible.
