We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher to work on the Visual Analytics techniques for Social Media analysis (e.g., Twitter). The researcher is expected to take a leading role in designing and developing novel Visual Analytics techniques to address the data quality and uncertainty issues commonly encountered in Social Media analysis. 'Provenance' is expected to be an important part of the solution.

The researcher will be part of a collaboration team formed by Middlesex University, City University (Prof. Jo Wood and Prof. Jason Dykes), Loughborough University (Dr. Derek Stephens), and Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (dstl). The researcher will be based at the Interaction Design Centre within the School of Engineering and Information Sciences at the Middlesex University located in London, UK. The Centre leads the UK Visual Analytics Consortium (UKVAC) that includes Bangor University, University College London, Imperial College, and Oxford University.
