There are two full research positions (E 13 TV-L) for three years available at the Visual Computing Laboratory (http://www.tu-chemnitz.de/informatik/vcl/), part of the Department of Computer Science at Chemnitz University of Technology.

The first position should be filled as soon as possible and can be filled by a phd-student or post-doc. The position is integrated into the interdisciplinary competence center “Virtual Humans” (http://www.tu-chemnitz.de/forschung/virtual_humans/). Topics of the research will be the modeling of smart virtual workers and the visualization of multidimensional ergonomic measures related to their work. Applicants have to hold a computer-science related Master or Diploma degree.

The second position suited for a phd-student is part of the interdisciplinary research training group “CrossWorlds – Connecting Virtual and Real Social Worlds” (http://crossworlds.info/) which will start from 01.04.2012 on. Topics of the research will be related to the study of new ways of interaction and communication which are offered by the connection of virtual and real social worlds in comparison with the experience of immediate real interaction and communication. Applicants have to hold a computer-science related Master or Diploma degree.
