The University of Konstanz is one of the nine Universities of Excellence in the Federal Republic of Germany. The department of Computer and Information Science at the University of Konstanz is seeking a highly-qualified applicant for a

Research Position[edit]

(Salary Scale 13 TV-L / 50 %)

in a DFG-funded research project. The position is available beginning at the earliest opportunity for a duration up to 36 months.

The position is part of a new research project with the focus to develop new interaction concepts for Design and Meeting Rooms. More information about the project is available: Here

Required qualifications:[edit]

The successful candidate must have a Diploma or Master degree in a related field (e. g. Information Engineering, Computer Science, Media Informatics, Interaction Design, Information Science).

The candidate should have one or more experiences within the following areas:[edit]

  • Human-Computer Interaction and Interaction Design
  • Computer Supported Collaborative Work (CSCW)
  • Design and development of intuitive graphical user interfaces (specifically for creative design tools in multimodal collaboration environments)
  • Programming languages (specifically C#, WPF and Java).

Motivation for active participation in research, academics and administration as well as interdisci-plinary teamwork is an important prerequisite.

Opportunity will be given for the preparation of a doctoral thesis.
