==== Context and job description ====&lt;br /&gt;
This proposal is part of MACAO (Advanced Modelling of Aeronautics Components and Development of their Associated Tools), a project of [http://www.aerospace-valley.com/en/ Aerospace Valley], the World Competitiveness Cluster on Aeronautics, Space, and Embedded Systems, created in the Aquitaine-Midi-Pyrennees region in France, who is supported by the main companies of this business sector (Airbus, Thales, Turbomeca, Messier-Downty, etc). MACAO aims at specifying a chain of interoperable software tools for simulation in aeronautics, including visualization tools. This work will be achieved in close cooperation with Turbomeca (Safran group), today&amp;#039;s leading manufacturer of low- to medium-power gas turbine for helicopters, and Airbus, main European aircraft manufacturer.&amp;lt;br&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
The work will concentrate on interactive flow visualization techniques for steady and unsteady flows, including scalability issues (Level Of Details and GPU approaches).&lt;br /&gt;
==== Environment and financial support ====&lt;br /&gt;
This work will take place in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pau%2C_France Pau], a nice place in south of France, close to Pyrenees mountains and Atlantic sea.&amp;lt;br/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Expected profile: PhD in scientific visualization or 3D computer graphics. Flow visualization achievements and/or publications is a must but any strong vita in scivis or 3D CG will be considered carefully.&amp;lt;br/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Contract: Fixed-term, 12 months guaranted, possibility of renewal.&amp;lt;br/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Type of contract: Public&amp;lt;br/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
Wage: 45 KEuros&amp;lt;br/&amp;gt;&lt;br /&gt;
